| Welcome home Sushi!

Ted got me a puppy for my graduation present. He is a Shih-Poo (Shih Tzu-Poodle) and the cutest little thing ever.
Since my parents aren't too fond of animals, Ted is letting Sushi stay
at his place and it has turned out pretty well. Sushi is such a good
puppy. We've had him for less than 48 hours and he
already knows to how to do his business outside of the home. He has had
a couple accidents, but it was because he was in his crate all night.
He's had a little bit of a kennel cough and taking antibiotics right
now. My poor baby. I'm so excited to train him how to sit, stay, come,
etc etc.

Can't wait until he is full housetrained so we can take him anywhere and not worry about him pooping or peeing everywhere.
Taking the first part of my CPA exam next Friday. I have been studying
for it all summer. I didn't even get to go to the beach yet. Wish
me luck!

| even though i have to work a full day tomorrow at the salon and i have
my last four finals, i'm totally procrastinating. i can't seem to just
do well knowing i'm graduating in one week. instead, i'm just doing the
regulat: checking my school email and personal email, then facebook,
xanga, myspace and washington post. whenever i check my hotmail, i
always click on some random articles. found this one: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11909486/?GT1=8199 it is so sick.
good luck to everyone taking finals. congrats class of 2006!!! i'm outta here suckas!

| (Friday 11:50pm)
Chontelle: too bad we didn't get to go out tonight.
Me: yea, I wanna go to philly to see this body exhibit that's there.
Chontelle: let's go! i love the shopping.
Me: um...i have an exam monday.
(Saturday 7:45am)

got our coffee from the starbucks drive thru less than 8 hours later on our way to philly
ROAD TRIP!

got to philly and did a little window shopping. well, at least i did.
chontelle went and got some stuff from urban outfitters. so, since we
drove all the way there, we decided to do a little sightseeing, but had
no destination. i knew there was this place called love park, so we stopped
by the starbucks near where we parked and attempted to ask people if
they knew where it was.
me: hi, do you know where love park is?
random person #1: no, i'm not from around here. i'm a tourist.
chontelle: hi, do you know where love park is?
random person #2: no, sorry, i'm also a tourist.
me: hi, do you know where love park is?
starbucks worker #1: sorry, i am not from around here either.
me: wtf???
how do you work in philly and not know where one of the most popular
places are. we asked a cop across the street and he told us that it was
4 blocks from the starbucks.
we finally got there.
me: yay! we're here! let's take some pics.
chontelle: ok.
[random bum comes up to us]
random bum: hi, would you like me to take some pictures for you lovely ladies?
[me trying to figure out if i should trust this guy with my digital
camera, but i see that his backpack is still on the bench near the
fountain. so i assumed he wouldn't run away with my camera.}
me: sure, thanks!
[random bum takes a couple shots of us at the park...holds onto my camera]
random bum: those were some nice pics. now come over here so i can give
you ladies some pamphlets about philly. there's lots of places you can
visit [blah blah]....so please give a man a couple dollars for these
pictures. a man's gotta make a living.
me and chontelle: we just got HUSTLED!!!!
at least i got my camera. so here's some expensive picture taken at love park.

we decided to take matters into our own hands after we left love park and became our own photographers.

so at least we got some pamphlets out of that bum. chontelle and i
decided to do $40 a day just like rachel ray. but we thought $40 was a
little too much for us. so we did $40 a day for the two of us combined.
first stop: the reading market. turns out that rachel ray went there
for her first meal too. it was at the down home diner. we decided to
get the same meal she got: corncakes with sausage links. $8.90 + tip =
12.00.

after we left, we went to the small chinatown to walk around. got our
snack beverage of the day: bubble tea! frozen mango $4.00 + peach $3.00
+ tax = 7.49.

of course after doing some more walking and window shopping we were
getting hungry. you can't go to philly without eating an authentic
cheesesteak. so we went to geno's where they are famous for their
cheesesteaks. they had celebrities pictures everywhere on their bright
orange stand on south 9th street. we got 2 philly cheesesteaks $13.00 +
cheese fries $3.50 + drink $1.50 = $18.00/

did we make it to $40 a day in philly? $12.00 + $7.49 + 18.00 = $37.49
MISSION COMPLETED!
of course, the day did not end yet. we got a little tired and bored in
philly by 4pm. so we decided to go to atlantic city and do a little
gambling.

got to the taj mahal and played the slots. needless to say, i didn't
win much, cuz if i did, i wouldn't be typing up this entry on a monday
night. i would be playing around with some new gadget i bought. and i
didn't lose much, cuz if i did, i probably would have already been
killed by my parents. chontelle and i (esp chontelle) got a little
hooked on playing this wheel. the chances to win were pretty high, but
the minimum bet was $5. a little too much for me at this stage of my
life. maybe i'll come back when i am married and financially stable.
overall, this was the best trip ever with my best friend. especially
since it was so RANDOM. although, i never got to go to the body
exhibit. they were sold out of tickets.

| went out to santa fe the first time ever on a thursday night. i've been
there during the day but never during the weeknights. i saw so many
people from my classes there and even people i haven't seen since
freshman year. i guess i never realized that so many people went out to
the bars on thursday. i guess it was because i try to avoid the college
park bars as much as i can. people were like "hey, you're actually
out!" it's not really my fault that i needed to take 45 credits
in the past 2 semesters to graduate on time. but since i'm doing
well in all of my classes right now, mind as well have some fun until
finals and graduation comes along. plus the fact that the bars have
banned smoking there, so i guess i won't be afraid of getting cancer
and reeking of cigarettes when i leave.
going out for dbo's bday tonight at eyebar in dc. should be fun. last
time i went it was techno night, so i'm crossing my fingers for some
better music. we'll see.
me and christine at her apt

keisha, christine and me

michelle, me and christine....looks like i'm leaning my head on michelle's chest (i'm not)

that's all for now folks.
